It was started by two Fordham students, Joe Marchesani and Tom Luciani, who had been friends since childhood having grown up in the s in the same Bronx neighborhood. Although they lived a few blocks away from each other, and attended different elementary and high schools, they always remained in touch continuing to spend time together especially during summer. This came about thanks to the religious sisters of my elementary school.
If you entered the code correctly, a message will appear. After this code is enabled, click Left Analog-stick to make your car jump. Repeat this code to disable its effect. Any vehicle driven will become invincible and has the ability to destroy anything it touches. To have a stronger car that is much harder to dent and damage, enable the “Deadly vehicle” code, enter a vehicle, then disable the code while you are in the vehicle. This code will eventually wear off if you run into lots of cars with the same vehicle.
It runs out faster when the “Destroy all vehicles” code is enabled over thirty times. Also, if you enable this code when inside a vehicle, the vehicle will explode others on contact, but your car will not be “shielded” as it would be if you entered the code before entering the vehicle. Therefore, this results in your vehicle exploding as well. If you do happen to enable this code inside a vehicle, get out, then get back in and it should function normally.
All taxis will have nitrous and can be jumped by clicking Left Analog-stick without completing the taxi missions. This code cannot be disabled. Get a BMX bike and bunny hop to travel massive distances.

The aim of this series is to bring to light some of the intriguing radio stations located in both expected and unexpected places in every corner of the U. They have been on my radar recently, as they’ve had some controversy brewing over a decision last December to reduce the number of non-student DJs over their airwaves. In his interview with me, Mikil explains why they reduced the number of non-student DJs at WRVU and points out the impact that this move has had on their schedule.

Retro Recorder This is the only iPhone app that lets you record distortion-free with audio zoom and built-in compression. It’s a great recorder for on-the-go sound sampling, and also works well for voice memos and interviews. There is no recording pause button, and some users have complained that it is too easy to write over their previous recordings.
Oblique Strategies Like a magic 8 ball or a tarot deck for music-makers, this tool from creators Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt could change your approach to making music. The app provides creative solutions and even helps cure writer’s block. There’s nothing else like it on the market. While other apps let you calculate the BPM of a song already stored on your device, with this app, tap the screen to the beat of the song you are listening to anywhere and the app calculates the BPM for you.
It’s a great tool for DJs who work with vinyl and for production artists who record live.
Help George Michael general discussion thread George Michael will be honoured with a blue plaque at Bushey Meads School on April 15, while the antics of his partner in later years Fadi Fawaz continue to be a focus of the media. Thought I’d start this as appropriate place for people following the handling of George Michael’s posthumous legacy. Since Fadi Fawaz continues to cause a public stir and that story continues to unfold, I guess discussion about that should be open as well.
However, I don’t know if many are very interested in him aside from being GM’s partner.

I was also kind of into the French scene at that time–Respect Is Burning and all that shit. Daft Punk had some great stuff on their first album: Armand Van Helden has already been mentioned and he was pretty dope too. Anything by them will kill it in my opinion. Cisco’s post is accurate to both the genre House and the time period late 90’s I miss those days sometimes

Intrinsic Fascination by pantheradraconis reviews Chapter 8: Like A Moth To The Flame – “Their sudden intimacy was like the explosive combustion that engulfs and consumes a moth that has fluttered too close to a candle flame; a completely unexpected turn of events that took both of them unawares and swept them irresistibly up and out of themselves as it hurled them into each other’s arms.
Femslash Twilight – Rated: Chapter 1 lays the groundwork for what’s to come as it deals with several of the heroes origins and is a bit dry and serious compared to the rest of the story.

Hugh Wilson Original Air Date: October 15, I don’t know the first movie, or story or play that used the trope of the lone “nerd” standing out in the middle of a ball field praying for the ball not to come his way. I’ve seen the scene echo throughout entertainment, in later movies and cartoon episodes. I can’t imagine it was originated by Hugh Wilson. If so, that’s amazing. But even if not, Nessman is always the nerd I imagine and this is where it feels like that trope began.

No hatin’, we just postulatin’ Waka Flocka Fact Check: Lyrics are a huge topic in hip-hop. Not only are they responsible for much of the criticism that hip-hop receives , but lyricists have really come to define the entire genre. And now, the issue of lyricism and its role in hip-hop has become a hot topic of debate. Anyone who knows their hip-hop history recognizes that before rappers and rapping, there was MC-ing.
Initially, hip-hop was DJ-only game; records were manipulated to create drum loops, breakbeat repetition, and general dance-inducing beats. As the popularity of hip-hop and hip-hop crews grew, the competitive element kicked in. They evolved from hype-men to performers in their own right as their mic work became sharper, more innovative, and yes, more lyrical. Eventually, MCs became rappers, and rappers became the central element of a hip-hop crew.
And for me personally, hip-hop lyrics are a main reason why I got into, and love, hip-hop. Not only do they provide a window into the very real and very personal experiences of the artists that spit them in a way that no other musical genre does, but hip-hop lyrics can provide an intellectual stimulation both in content and tonality that I find totally enthralling.
